deep in the ice
pernicious winds protect
a library of mystery
i broke the ties
that kept me anchored
to civility, mediocrity
open up the gate to peek inside
<we will ward these old halls 'til we die >
what will i find?
<our knowledge will poison your mind>
page turns slow
focus on the essence
don't stop now!
you're almost there..
lights out
deep in the mind
a venom eating away
chills from the dungeon
a venom eating away
then as from open sky the serpents strike!
<kill the intruder!>
but i rise and inflict their demise
<still you will suffer>
to deeper parts with shelves covered in rime
i will venture with courage
to uncover secrets in time
sacred scribe..
seek to die..
be reborn on sheets of mine..
what is true?
i decide!
open up the gate to peek inside
<we will ward these old halls 'til we die >
what will i find?
<our knowledge will poison your mind>
tome upon tome i grow ever more greedy
the lion has opened his maw
dawn eats the dusk and i'm far from completing
but winds howl
what was that i saw?
have i lost my mind?
i think their venom's working
Part 2, Boreal Ramparts
yawning, arising, o slumbering one
fathoms of ice have extinguished the sun
have i lost my mind?
i think their venom's working
have i lost my mind?
inside the blizzard stands the king
sleet and hail
entombed alive
the walls reach out
for countless miles
madness erupts from
your frozen smile
your face on the mountainside
peaks all reaching for the sky
ever so high
ever so high
never so high
nowhere out
day the same as night
your patience worn to bone
twisted mouth
twitches as you plead but
this glacial domain is now your home
shed the flesh
of a simpleton past
suckle the breasts of the goddess
such wisdom out of time!
and countless contradictions
the knowledge you once held
was nary more than fiction
little soul
tucked you in
while out roving o'er yonder
you were fevered and lost
when you stepped inside these borders
the walls reach out for countless miles
black
dripping stone
his arms begin to multiply
black
dripping stone
Part 3, Retching at the Precipice
sick with despair
retching at the precipice
the fever stink
where has my golden boy gone?
where is the girl of spring?
when did i lose my mind?
when did i when did i when did i????
doped like a mule, the bed reeks of cum!
sesame opens another blue nun, pull the shutters down...
retching at the precipice
when did i lose my insides?
faster yet slower somehow
glued to a pendulum
dizzy and dangerous
and the spit keeps on flying out the mouth
say! would it be fair to assume
copulation corrupts absolutely
well, that's an unfortunate rule
i was going to ask if you'd see me
still we can be friends
can we not?
under the blackest of skies, no memory held of the stars
wombed in the belly of madness
sold at forbidden bazaars..
<sacrificial chant>
wind the rack til breaking
where have my morals gone? where did the backbone go?
i speared a thousand cunts
alas i crave... one more
when will the last slave die? where did its body go?
i ate her ash in june
july renewed my woes
i think my life is out of control
call on me when you feel the pull
slick wet like amazon rain
guts, mud, a lightning pain
bursting dyke in the jungle night
levee twain by the lance of a knight
and it lashes on down
lashes on down
must i be reminded of the filth
i waded through to get here
all in search of wisdom
i could not obtain by normal means
let me forget the hows and the whos
frigid husks of flesh come to haunt my mood
<warding chant>
This is my second favorite release from eod; track six is my favorite but I love the album as a whole and symbol series excited for more. Eod captures electronic music in a very compositional manner eclectic tones shaking bones Louis D.
